# Man United’s Griezmann alternative told to make record-breaking move

**Such is the nature of Manchester United these days, the punters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern are greeted with major rumours and reports on an almost daily basis.**

Indeed, today’s proved no different with some of the Red Devils around the bar spotting reports emanating out of France.

According to *[L’Equipe](https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Article/Pierre-emerick-aubameyang-la-tentation-chinoise-plutot-que-le-psg/801649),* United are keen on the idea of signing Borussia Dortmund Pierre-Émerick Aubameyang, who has [reportedly](https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Article/Pierre-emerick-aubameyang-la-tentation-chinoise-plutot-que-le-psg/801649) emerged as a potential alternative to France star Antoine Griezmann.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic a long-term injury concern, the Gabon superstar would be a welcome addition in the eyes of the locals in the Tavern, though is also [said](https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Article/Pierre-emerick-aubameyang-la-tentation-chinoise-plutot-que-le-psg/801649) to have a major offer from the Chinese Super League.

Though United are [believed](https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Article/Pierre-emerick-aubameyang-la-tentation-chinoise-plutot-que-le-psg/801649) to have told several middle men about their interest in the 27-year-old, though CSL side Tianjin Quanjian are believed to be keen.

The Chinese outfit are [understood](https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Article/Pierre-emerick-aubameyang-la-tentation-chinoise-plutot-que-le-psg/801649) to be ready to make Aubameyang the best-paid player in the world and members of the player’s family are thought to have advised him to make a move to the Far East.

**Thoughts?**
