# Man United’s hopes of huge signing given surprise boost

![ronaldo88](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/ronaldo88-500x325.jpg)Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern couldn’t believe what they’d read this morning, after hearing of a surprise boost given to their transfer hopes.

[*The Daily Mirror*](https://arsenal-mania.com/exclusive-sol-campbell-backs-arsenal-for-premier-league-success/)[says Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother wants her son to rejoin Manchester United and snub the advances of Paris Saint-Germain](https://arsenal-mania.com/exclusive-sol-campbell-backs-arsenal-for-premier-league-success/), if he leaves Real Madrid.

Dolores Aveiro wants her son to move to England instead of the French capital, as [she believes Paris is not safe for Ronaldo and her five-year-old grandson.](https://arsenal-mania.com/exclusive-sol-campbell-backs-arsenal-for-premier-league-success/)

This carries significant weight as Ronaldo’s mother regularly looks after her grandson and she is worried after the recent terror attacks in Paris, which shocked the world.

30-year-old Ronaldo insists he is happy at the Santiago Bernabeu but there’s growing reports that indicate Real Madrid want a breath of fresh air, replacing the club legend with a younger, more exciting superstar.

United fans at the bar genuinely believe they can bring Ronaldo back to the club and aren’t too concerned about PSG’s interest, which seems brave to us.
