**Jose Mourinho is having a tough time at the moment, and that’s concerning for Man Utd fans. They’ve finally got the stability that they’ve been craving since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, yet they now risk losing it all.**

Granted, it doesn’t look like Jose Mourinho is going to lose his job anytime soon, and he’ll certainly be given time to turn things around, but given their mixed campaign last time out and having endured a tough summer, the Man Utd boss is certainly in the limelight.

So much so, in fact, that Man Utd are said to be preparing a contingency plan. [According to the Sun, the Red Devils want Zinedine Zidane to move to Old Trafford in the event that Mourinho leaves the club.](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6910173/zinedine-zidane-man-utd-jose-mourinho-replacement/)

*Zizou*, as he is known, is currently out of a job following his departure from Real Madrid, where he picked up three Champions League winning medals in a row. An undoubted legend of the game, the Frenchman has won a plethora of trophies over the years – and now some Man Utd fans want him to bring that success to Old Trafford.

Many Man Utd fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the reports, and it’s fair to say that the manager is a very popular man.

Take a look at what they’ve had to say below…

> I'd take most people over Jose!

> I would happily welcome Zinedine Zidane to MUFC at least he will play an attacking style of football and Martial might stay then.
