He is reportedly on the list with two other managers and is ‘interested’ in the job, as the board will start ‘official contacts’ during the weekend.

Van Bronckhorst is a popular choice among a lot of Gers supporters, given that he is a [two-time Premiership winner](https://www.transfermarkt.com/giovanni-van-bronckhorst/erfolge/spieler/3191) as a player with them and boasts an impressive managerial record with Feyenoord in particular, guiding them to their first Eredivisie title in 18 years back in the 2016/17 campaign ([BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39915623)), as well as winning [four](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/giovanni-van-bronckhorst/erfolge/trainer/20014) other major trophies with the Rotterdam club.
