# Manchester City: Fans adore latest Angelino comments on future at Eastlands

**Speaking to** **[La Voz de Galicia](https://www.lavozdegalicia.es/noticia/deportes/2020/03/15/angelino-nunca-pense-acabar-risas-mou-partido-champions/00031584305294586610570.htm) via[Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/man-city-player-reveals-guardiola-delighted-with-his-loan-move-talks-about-future-at-etihad/),** **Manchester City defender Angelino, currently on a temporary spell at RB Leipzig, has claimed that he is not giving up on winning a place in Pep Guardiola’s side – with these Sky Blues supporters lauding his comments as a result.**

Angelino, who [re-signed](https://www.mancity.com/news/first-team/first-team-news/2019/july/man-city-sign-angelino-psv-transfer-latest-update) for City following a successful spell at PSV Eindhoven, played a rotation role during the first half of this Premier League season – since going out on loan to RB Leipzig in a bid to get more game time.

Compared to current left-back favourite Benjamin Mendy, the Spaniard made more clearances on average (2.5) over his limited appearances whilst also making more interceptions (1.5),[as per WhoScored.com](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/255089/Show/Angeli%C3%B1o) – potentially highlighting a good point made when one fan suggested that he is ‘[Miles better than Mendy](https://twitter.com/mikethamanc/status/1239593601254002688?s=21)‘. Following Angelino’s ‘[legendary’](https://twitter.com/yatesy9320/status/1239645786293571591?s=21) comments surrounding his future at City, many supporters have been in awe over the defender – find all of their best verdicts down below.

> He’s miles better than Mendy IMO. I’d bring him back and sell Mendy.
