# Manchester City: Fans adore Phil Foden after recent tweet

**Responding to a [tweet](https://twitter.com/PhilFoden/status/1238188190294519808) by Manchester City fan-favourite and teenage ace Phil Foden, many Sky Blues supporters have been gushing over his message surrounding recent events – including an image of himself tussling for the ball with David Silva in training.**

Foden, who has started three Premier League games this season ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/331254/Show/Phil-Foden)), is impressing in other competitions – most recently winning the [Man of the Match award](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51699903) during City’s Carabao Cup final victory over Aston Villa at Wembley.

The 19-year-old, who has fast become a fan favourite at Eastlands, delivered a message to supporters in response to the recent coronavirus epidemic – which has resulted in football’s [postponement](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51867989) until April 3rd at the earliest. Foden stated: “Still working hard and giving our all. It’s a tough time for everyone at the moment but I hope you’re all safe and ok!”.

In response, many Sky Blues supporters have also wished him well whilst praising his training exploits – calling him a [‘master’](https://publish.twitter.com/?query=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2Flivingstones4%2Fstatus%2F1238222289688309761&widget=Tweet) and [‘incredible’](https://publish.twitter.com/?query=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2Flivingstones4%2Fstatus%2F1238222289688309761&widget=Tweet).
