# Manchester City: Fans are divided over links with Spain international Dani Olmo

**Dani Olmo made his international debut during [Spain’s 7-0 demolition of Malta](https://www.google.com/search?q=spain+football&rlz=1C1DVJR_enGB846GB846&oq=spain+football&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l4j69i60.2599j1j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#sie=m;/g/11h22xrxmt;2;/m/0zdsnbj;dt;fp;1;;), scoring on his first start, but Manchester City fans are divided over whether they would be happy with his signing amid interest (Calciomercato [via Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7678815/Manchester-City-Roma-AC-Milan-eyeing-Spanish-talent-Dani-Olmo.html))\**

Olmo, who has scored [two goals and assisted two others](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dani-olmo/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/293385) in Croatia’s top flight for Dinamo Zagreb so far this campaign, has slowly transformed into one of Europe’s hottest prospects after [leaving La Masia for Zagreb in 2014](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/oct/01/dinamo-zagreb-dani-olmo-risk-barcelona).

The 21-year-old has been quietly but consistently going about his business – shining a light on his star quality particularly this season during the Champions League qualifiers where he [scored three and assisted three in five European appearances.](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dani-olmo/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/293385)

Now, his brilliant performances for the Croatian champions have seemingly started to turn the heads of Manchester City scouts.

However, some fans have wondered whereabouts he’ll fit in, whilst others can’t wait until he potentially pens his signature – leaving supporters divided over his prospects as a City player.

Here’s what they had to say surrounding the rumours.

> People, Olmo isn’t Sanes replacement, more David Silva’s in terms of slot. Foden and Bernardo more centrally and Olmo filling out where needed. Typical city signing
