# Manchester City: Fans bemoan Gabriel Jesus missed Kevin De Bruyne assist opportunity

**Following a much-needed 2-0 victory at Crystal Palace on Saturday, bouncing right back from their [second loss](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49868094) of the season, some Manchester City fans have voiced the margin of victory could’ve been more had Gabriel Jesus assisted Kevin De Bruyne.**

The champions went to Selhurst Park knowing that nothing but a victory would be good enough to keep the pressure on Liverpool in yet another neck and neck title race.

Standing in for Sergio Aguero, Jesus delivered with a brilliant performance – notching City’s [opening goal](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCwVTiNW82E) of the game with a composed diving header which crept in off the near post.

Moments later, David Silva made it 2-0 – volleying home Raheem Sterling’s clever chipped assist through the legs of Palace keeper Wayne Hennessey.

From that point on, despite some scary moments, City saw out a needed victory – having missed some opportunities to make the scoreline even more convincing.

One of those opportunities, a [missed Jesus chance](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/gabriel-jesus-man-city-news-17115530) that could’ve made it three had the Brazilian opted to square the ball to his teammate.

With the perfection demanded in a title race such as this, a small section of City supporters took to Twitter and vented their frustration:

> Then please tell him to square the ball to KDB!!!

> Gabriel You could have done better by passing it to [@DeBruyneKev](https://twitter.com/DeBruyneKev?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) at \~75 mins.. it was a clear goal mate and that is where [@aguerosergiokun](https://twitter.com/aguerosergiokun?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) is better

> I hope you read our comments. No.1-Please advise Gabriel Jesus to stop being selfish. We could have had a third goal if he had squared the ball to KDB. No.2- Gabriel Jesus should learn to shoot from outside the box. That’s what Kun Aguero can do that Gabriel Jesus can’t do

> However Sergio would have found a wide open KDB while Gabriel did not.
