# Manchester City: Fans divided over Paris-Saint Germain interest in Riyad Mahrez

**According to a report from [Goal via City Xtra](https://www.si.com/soccer/manchestercity/transfer-rumours/manchester-city-psg-riyad-mahrez-allowed-to-leave-for-right-price), Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez will be allowed to leave the club ‘[for the right price](https://www.si.com/soccer/manchestercity/transfer-rumours/manchester-city-psg-riyad-mahrez-allowed-to-leave-for-right-price)‘ – and French giants Paris-Saint Germain are currently credited with interest in the attacking midfielder.**

Mahrez, who has been arguably one of City’s shining lights in an otherwise disappointing league campaign, scoring seven goals and assisting eight others over 15 league starts ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/104749/Show/Riyad-Mahrez)), is attracting interest from Paris-Saint Germain as the club look to bolster their squad this summer.

As per this [Goal update via City Xtra](https://www.si.com/soccer/manchestercity/transfer-rumours/manchester-city-psg-riyad-mahrez-allowed-to-leave-for-right-price) from Sky Blues correspondent Jonathan Smith, the Algerian star could be ‘[allowed](https://www.si.com/soccer/manchestercity/transfer-rumours/manchester-city-psg-riyad-mahrez-allowed-to-leave-for-right-price)‘ to leave if the right offer came in – with the journalist stating that he could not see Pep Guardiola letting him go for ‘[less than £80 million](https://www.si.com/soccer/manchestercity/transfer-rumours/manchester-city-psg-riyad-mahrez-allowed-to-leave-for-right-price)‘.

In response, plenty of City fans have been divided over the news – with one supporter claiming the club would ‘[get to keep Leroy](https://twitter.com/tacticalista_/status/1239642988931960833?s=21)‘ while another suggested that City are ‘[always selling wrong players](https://twitter.com/phomellomcfc/status/1239646173658562562?s=21)‘.
