# Manchester City: Fans divided over update on Leroy Sane meeting with Bayern Munich

**According to a report from [Sport Bild](https://sportbild.bild.de/bundesliga/vereine/bayern-muenchen/leroy-sane-geheimtreffen-verhandlungen-salihamidzic-69457518.sport.html), Manchester City winger Leroy Sane’s agency LIAN Sports and Bayern Munich director Hasan Salihamidzic held a ‘[secret meeting](https://sportbild.bild.de/bundesliga/vereine/bayern-muenchen/leroy-sane-geheimtreffen-verhandlungen-salihamidzic-69457518.sport.html)‘ on Wednesday to discuss the player’s future – with Barcelona and Real Madrid also reportedly interested.**

The German, who hasn’t featured for City this season due to an [ACL injury](https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/manchester-citys-sane-to-undergo-surgery-on-acl-injury-in/b7vpy8eccxli16y99kdnxjxni) sustained in their Community Shield triumph back in August, has been linked with a move to the Bundesliga giants for some time – with reports last summer strongly hinting at a potential Bavarian switch ([The Guardian](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/may/23/bayern-munich-prepare-70m-bid-leroy-sane-manchester-city-transfer-news)). Sane made a key impact during the Sky Blues’ Premier League title clinch over the 2018/2019 campaign, scoring the [winning goal](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46690612) against Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium in a crucial 2-1 win.

Now, with his future at the club in doubt, many City supporters have flocked to discuss this latest update on Sane – with one fan stating that he’d ‘[rather he went to Barca](https://twitter.com/mancity_josh/status/1240354669639204865?s=21)‘ whilst other supporters urged Bayern to ‘[leave him alone](https://twitter.com/mxncityszn/status/1240351677850562561?s=21)‘.

> I’d rather sell mahrez and sterling and use the money to get sancho and invest the rest in defence. Imagine sane at LW and sancho at RW.\
> But if we do sell sane, I hope for a bidding war😔\
> More money 💰
