# Manchester City: Fans fume at latest links with Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele

**According to a [report by El Desmarque](https://eldesmarque.com/barcelona/fc-barcelona/noticias/149289-dembele-por-el-bartomeu-y-el-barca-la-lian-en-el-mercado-de-fichajes-ed), Barcelona have decided to sell winger Ousmane Dembele and Manchester City could be one of a number of clubs reportedly interested in acquiring the Frenchman’s services – but Sky Blues supporters aren’t impressed to say the least.**

Dembele, who has played just [five games](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/299513/History/Ousmane-Demb%C3%A9l%C3%A9) this campaign, scoring one goal, has suffered from a [plethora of injury issues](https://www.transfermarkt.com/ousmane-dembele/verletzungen/spieler/288230) since his arrival at the Nou Camp back in 2017 for a mouth-watering [£135.5. million](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/41075084) –  so far struggling to re-establish his Barcelona career.

In comparison, before he signed for the Catalans, Dembele racked up [10 goals and 22 assists](https://www.transfermarkt.com/ousmane-dembele/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/288230) during his time at Borussia Dortmund – perhaps enticing clubs into a deal for the youngster who could still possess some unfulfilled potential.

Still, given the abundance of wingers at City’s disposal – with Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva all playing well so far this campaign, supporters don’t see the point in signing an injury-prone addition.

Last season, when Dembele played regularly, he amassed [eight goals and five assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/299513/History/Ousmane-Demb%C3%A9l%C3%A9) in La Liga – paling in comparison to the Sky Blues’ wingers who all, [bar Mahrez](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/167/Archive/England-Manchester-City?stageId=16368), racked up [superior numbers](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/167/Archive/England-Manchester-City?stageId=16368).

Here’s how supporters reacted on Twitter to the links.
