Sterling, who has so far notched an incredible 10 goals and three assists in all competitions so far this campaign, is on track to potentially better his [record](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/raheem-sterling/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/134425) from last season.

During Manchester City’s [5-1 demolition of Atalanta](https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1DVJR_enGB846GB846&sxsrf=ACYBGNShOp4MpmMBzPIEnNvjCIybSP_81g%3A1571825514034&ei=aiewXfrkAce_gQbkpofYDQ&q=man+city+5-1+atalanta&oq=man+city+5-1+atalanta&gs_l=psy-ab.3...1353.6841..6976...1.0..0.181.1913.18j3......0....1..gws-wiz.....10..35i362i39j35i39j0i131j0j0i67j0i131i67j35i39i70i253j0i3j0i22i30j33i22i29i30j33i160j33i21.EFyVlK0f8is&ved=0ahUKEwj6waarkrLlAhXHX8AKHWTTAdsQ4dUDCAs&uact=5#sie=m;/g/11fn2bvgsx;2;/m/0c1q0;dt;fp;1;;) on Tuesday night at the Etihad, the 24-year-old grabbed a hat-trick inside 12 minutes to put the game out of the visitors’ reach – having previously set up Sergio Aguero for his two goals earlier in the match to put the Sky Blues in control.

Indeed, it was a scintillating performance from the winger, who was at the heart of everything City did well – proving just how crucial he will be to Guardiola’s ambitions this season.

As a result, City supporters have taken to Twitter and rightfully praised Sterling for his influential performance:
