# Manchester City: Fans hammer David Alaba transfer link

**According to a report from [Bild via Sports Mole](https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/man-city/transfer-talk/news/david-alaba-to-snub-manchester-city-for-la-liga-move_393843.html), Bayern Munich defender David Alaba will snub Manchester City’s reported transfer interest – opting instead for either Barcelona or Real Madrid as Sky Blues supporters hammer the ‘[spent force](https://twitter.com/mkuyule/status/1242011098745896963?s=21)‘ in response.**

Alaba, who has plied his trade at the Allianz Arena for over a decade, making 372 appearances whilst bagging 30 goals and 48 assists from the full-back position ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/david-alaba/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/59016)), is reportedly being monitored by City, Barca and Real – with the Austrian international reportedly opting for the latter two over Pep Guardiola’s side.

The 27-year-old, who has accumulated more tackles on average than Kyle Walker this campaign ([1.1](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/39722/Show/David-Alaba)) despite the Englishman’s resurgence under Guardiola ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/69778/Show/Kyle-Walker)), doesn’t look like he is interested in joining the Sky Blues regardless of their potential eagerness to strengthen the full-back positions.

As a result, plenty of City fans have lashed back at the report – find all of their best comments down below.
