# Manchester City: Fans react as Benjamin Mendy could play against Spurs

**As Benjamin Mendy returns to training, despite being a slight doubt, he could potentially feature against Spurs in the late kick off this afternoon – and plenty of Man City fans have reacted to his potential inclusion.**

Mendy, who has just recovered from his latest injury setback, was utilised fairly regularly by Guardiola before his absence – with the Frenchman now competing for a starting place with Cancelo, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Nathan Ake.

The latter man, who signed for City in the summer, is currently out with a hamstring problem – leaving a left-back toss up between an available trio excluding the Dutchman.

Reacting to a post on Twitter, via [Man City Xtra](https://twitter.com/City_Xtra/status/1329836107270385676), some supporters have had their say over Mendy who could start against Bale – with some claiming the option for him to feature his ‘bad news’.
