Manchester City fans are delighted after it was revealed that their friendly against Barcelona, originally scheduled for late August, has been postponed after there were fears the Camp Nou would not be able to host supporters.

The Citizens' preparations for the new campaign are well underway. After last season's Premier League and League Cup success, they will be confident of more silverware this time around, but their 1-0 defeat to Chelsea in the Champions League final means they still have work to do.

Bizarrely, they were set to play Barcelona in Spain in a friendly after the season had already kicked off. However, Juan Carlos Unzué to TV3 (via Reshad Rahman) has revealed the clash has been postponed as there are fears the Camp Nou would not be able to host fans.

The news was shared on Twitter by @City_Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the City supporters. They took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
