According to an exclusive report by Daily Mirror journalist Simon Mullock, Manchester City are considering former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino as a potential successor to Pep Guardiola amid ‘managerial uncertainty‘.
Guardiola, who has won eight trophies in four seasons since being appointed by City, including two Premier League titles, three Carabao Cups, two Community Shields and an FA Cup, now faces a precarious final year at the Etihad.
Should Pochettino succeed Guardiola?
Yes, can do great things at City
No, not an experienced trophy winner
The Spaniard’s contract runs out at the end of this season, having signed a lucrative £385,000-per-week extension in 2018, and he his yet to put pen to paper on a new deal. As a result, according to The Mirror, City are weighing up Pochettino as a potential heir, and many Sky Blues on Twitter have gone wild over the idea.
Despite failing to win a trophy in north London, ‘Poch’ is deemed a worthy fan favourite, and it’s clear as day these City supporters feel he is the right man for the job when Guardiola leaves. You can find some of their best comments below.

We knew this tbf, shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. If he doesn’t get a job sooner, Poch is destined for City https://t.co/4mp2qfGaS0
