Manchester City could have a 'game-changer' alongside Erling Haaland as Sky Sports pundit Kevin Campbell discusses Jack Grealish's emergence.

The Lowdown: City flying high...

The Sky Blues are flying high near the summit of Premier League football as Pep Guardiola's aim to retain their top flight crown and win it for a third consecutive year.

Last season's dramatic final day heroics exemplify the spirit of this City squad which has now been seriously bolstered by the arrival of Norway superstar Erling Haaland.

The 22-year-old is up and firing with an almighty haul of 14 goals already over nine appearances in all competitions, a truly phenomenal record and scary fact for the rest of England's big league.

The Latest: Campbell makes 'game-changer' Grealish claim...

While Haaland dominates the headlines with his imperious run of form, Sky pundit and former Arsenal striker Campbell has now told Football Insider that Pep Guardiola has another 'game-changer' in his dressing room.

It's been a mixed start for club record signing Grealish but the England international has impressed when given a chance this season and netted his first goal of the season in 3-0 win at Wolves before the international break.

Now Campbell believes the rest of England could be in real trouble if the midfielder kicks on, explaining:

"Obviously Jack Grealish would love to be the flying winger beating six players but that’s not what is needed at Man City. What’s needed is you play your position, when the opportunity comes you either beat your man or pass it and be effective.

“He’s been effective in his last few games, scored the first goal which was great for him, good for his confidence.

“He’s got a Premier League winners medal and he hasn’t really started, he hasn’t really kicked on.

“I’d love to see him really do well and get his form for the World Cup because he could be a game-changer. If he starts to play as well as he did at Villa for City, we’re all in trouble.”

The Verdict: Time to kick on...

As per WhoScored, Grealish has actually dazzled when handed the chance by Guardiola, with only Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and Joao Cancelo averaging better match ratings per 90 than the ex-Villan.

The key for City is utilising the 27-year-old's phenomenal dribbling, close control and unrivalled ability to draw opposition fouls - with no Sky Blues star completing more successful take-ons than Grealish so far this campaign.

When selected, he can prove to be a valuable asset, and it will certainly be interesting to see if he can continue to build upon his recent performances and make a name for himself at Eastlands.
