Manchester City fans were far from happy with Raheem Sterling following comments he made after scoring in England's 1-0 win over Croatia at Euro 2020.

Sterling was in action for the Three Lions as they kicked off their Euro 2020 campaign at Wembley. It could hardly have gone better for both Sterling and his country - he scored the only goal of the game as Gareth Southgate's side picked up an important three points.

It was a special moment for the forward, and after the match, he spoke to the BBC (via Goal.com). He was discussing his form at City, and he said there are a number of different reasons as to why he has failed to hit the back of the net recently for the Citizens. Many City fans seemingly felt that his comments were a dig at their club.

Sterling's comments were shared on Twitter by @City_Xtra, and they attracted plenty of attention from the club's supporters. They took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
