Many fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relayed Pep Guardiola's comments regarding the fitness of Nathan Ake.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference prior to Manchester City's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday evening, Guardiola claimed that Ake - who has made just six league appearances for City since joining from Bournemouth in a £40.77m deal last summer - will return to full training after the Wolves fixture.

The manager said: "He struggled to make a good recovery. The process was slower than expected. Some players are like this. He did everything. The physios worked hard. We're happy he's coming back the day after the [Wolves] game. The next day we train together he'll be with us."

After City Xtra relayed the 50-year-old's comments on Twitter, some fans of the club flocked to have their say on the matter, with many appearing delighted at the prospect of Ake being involved with the first team once again in the not-so-distant future.
