Manchester City: Fans tear into Ederson after John Stones mishap versus Fulham

Manchester City: Fans tear into Ederson after John Stones mishap versus Fulham - Manchester City News

During Man City’s encounter with Fulham this afternoon, in which the Sky Blues ran rampant attacking-wise, plenty of supporters weren’t impressed with goalkeeper Ederson after a first half mishap with John Stones – which nearly resulted in a conceded goal.

After Raheem Sterling gave City a deserved early lead, feeding off Kevin De Bruyne’s well weighted through ball, he then managed to force a penalty.

De Bruyne buried the resulting spot kick to gift Pep Guardiola’s side a 2-0 lead at half time, but Ederson very nearly halved that deficit before the break after a miscommunication with Stones and a back pass.

The ball thankfully went out for a corner but just edged past the post, resulting in many Sky Blues to hammer the £50.4m-rated (Transfermarkt) keeper – with some even calling for him to be dropped after a debatably mixed run of form.
