During Man City's stellar 3-0 away win at Marseille in the Champions League last night, many Sky Blues couldn't help but herald the showing of young star Phil Foden - calling him 'magical' and even 'obscene' as Pep Guardiola's side got back to winning ways.

Last weekend, City came away from West Ham with just one point after a tepid 1-1 draw at the London Stadium, with star striker Sergio Aguero also picking up a fresh injury.

On Tuesday, the Sky Blues seemed to put that forgettable afternoon behind them with, arguably, their best performance of the season so far - with Ferran Torres, Ilkay Gundogan and Raheem Sterling all helping to secure a vital group stage victory.

Foden, who teed up Sterling to knock the ball down to Gundogan for City's second of the night, has attracted praise on Twitter for continuing to stand out among Guardiola's men.
