The England international, who has been utilised less and less by manager Pep Guardiola over this last year, is currently the subject of speculation linking him with a move away from City.

Barcelona are one of the clubs said to be interested in signing the 26-year-old who's contract expires in 2023, with the Sky Blues still yet to agree fresh term as talks reportedly stall.

Sterling finished 2019/2020 as City's top goal scorer in all competitions but has arguably failed to reach those dizzying heights over 2020 and 2021 at club level.

Despite this, an announcement has now dropped involving the Englishman who did dazzle at Euro 2020.

As confirmed, Sterling is officially on the 30-man Ballon d'Or shortlist along with teammates Kevin de Bruyne, Riyad Mahrez, Ruben Dias and Phil Foden.

Reacting to this news, it's safe to say there were no shortage of verdicts from City supporters.
