# Manchester United: Anthony Martial’s comments over Jose Mourinho’s man management spark vicious response

**In an interview with French broadcaster [RMC Sport via the Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7995253/Anthony-Martial-slams-Jose-Mourinho-publicly-criticising-displays-Man-United.html), Manchester United winger Anthony Martial has opened up over former boss Jose Mourinho’s man management tactics, with him apparently criticising the player’s performances publicly in front of the dressing room.**

Rather than taking the Frenchman aside to discuss his contribution in a more one-on-one scenario, Mourinho apparently reserved his criticism for when they were in front of other players, with Martial speaking candidly over his methods to [RMC](https://rmcsport.bfmtv.com/). The 24-year-old, who has scored eight goals and assisted three others this campaign ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/122366/Show/Anthony-Martial)), went on to say that the tactic motivated him to improve on the pitch, with Mourinho later taking him aside and explaining why he publicly lambasted the player.

Even though Martial appreciates what his former boss was trying to get across, some supporters have since come out to slam the ex-Monaco forward for his revelation, taking to Twitter and rubbishing his [debatably topsy-turvy](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/man-united-anthony-martial-news-17727961) recent form. One fan even suggested that he ‘[needs to be binned](https://publish.twitter.com/?query=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2FAshokmufc%2Fstatus%2F1227537610899259392&widget=Tweet)‘.
