# Manchester United: Anthony Martial praise has some supporters detesting positivity over France international

**Responding to a tweet from the [United Stand](https://twitter.com/UnitedStandMUFC/status/1224704272492892163) promoting the ‘[Flex N’Rants show](https://twitter.com/UnitedStandMUFC/status/1224704272492892163)‘ in which they state ‘[Martial haters will be proven wrong](https://twitter.com/UnitedStandMUFC/status/1224704272492892163)‘, some Red Devils supporters have lambasted the verdict surrounding the in-form winger – taking to Twitter and voicing their discontent over his showings.**

Anthony Martial, who has bagged [eight goals](https://www.sofascore.com/player/anthony-martial/191176) and [three assists](https://www.sofascore.com/player/anthony-martial/191176) in 18 starts for the club this season, could arguably be enjoying a spell of good form – having averaged an 83% pass accuracy this season whilst playing regularly for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side ([SofaScore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/anthony-martial/191176)). The Frenchman, who has acted predominantly as a forward, beats fellow natural winger Daniel James in most aspects – amassing a superior shots per game ratio ([2.5](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/122366/Show/Anthony-Martial)) and dribbles completed on average this season ([1.5](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/122366/Show/Anthony-Martial)), as per [WhoScored.com](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/122366/Show/Anthony-Martial).

However, both players are neck in neck when it comes to key passes ([1](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/302313/Show/Daniel-James)) while James attracts more fouls ([2](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/302313/Show/Daniel-James)). The 24-year-old has also given the ball away [10 times per match](https://www.sofascore.com/player/anthony-martial/191176) on average, perhaps highlighting why some supporters don’t seem to rate his current form.

However, you could also argue Martial possesses fairly solid statistics, especially when playing in a makeshift role, but these United supporters still don’t think he is up to standard – find all of their best comments from Twitter down below.

> So demanding he plays better is hating? Well then I’m a hater.\
> He should leave, he’s not United quality.

> He plays like he is doing us a favor. Can’t stand that lackluster approach to a game we all so love. See how he plays prior to signing his contract and how he plays after….

> Nobody hates him. It’s just he has proven time and time again he cant be relied on to score goals a no.9 should. Shift him back out to the wing and get a striker
