# Manchester United: Diogo Dalot image in training camp has supporters praising defender

**Responding to an emerged image on social media from Diogo Dalot’s [Instagram account](https://www.instagram.com/diogodalot/), Manchester United supporters have flocked to Twitter in order to hail the defender – with one fan even claiming that he is ‘[better than Wan-Bissaka](https://publish.twitter.com/?query=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2Fnnawuiheee%2Fstatus%2F1224794947284545543&widget=Tweet)‘ going forward.**

Dalot, who was pictured training at United’s[rumoured](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-utd-winter-break-news-17675033) winter camp in Marbella, has barely been given a look-in by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this campaign – starting just[two](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/353418/History/Diogo-Dalot) Europa League matches and [once](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/353418/History/Diogo-Dalot) all season in the Premier League. This could partly be down to the form of summer signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with Dalot playing far more regularly last campaign with [12](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/353418/History/Diogo-Dalot) league starts.

By comparison, his English teammate has amassed [22](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/331924/Show/Aaron-Wan-Bissaka) starts for United this season, missing just three Premier League games. When it comes to statistics, Wan-Bissaka has averaged a superior [4](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/331924/Show/Aaron-Wan-Bissaka) tackles per game on average but hasn’t managed the same amount of interceptions as Dalot ([2.5](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/353418/History/Diogo-Dalot)) in the Europa League. Going forward, when playing fairly regularly for United back in 2018/2019, Dalot averaged more key passes ([1.1](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/353418/History/Diogo-Dalot)) than the former Crystal Palace defender has this season ([0.8](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/331924/Show/Aaron-Wan-Bissaka)), as [per WhoScored.com.](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/331924/Show/Aaron-Wan-Bissaka)

As a result, these United supporters have flocked to hail Dalot on social media in response to his training image – here’s what they had to say on Twitter.

> Better than wan bissaka going forward. Wan bissaka is horrible up half of the pitch
