**[![Turan](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/4389018-500x357.jpg)](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/4389018.jpg?admin)**United fans drinking here in the Football Transfer Tavern are all looking at the news from [Turkish-football.com](https://www.turkish-football.com/arda-turan-set-to-undergo-man-utd-medical-says-ersin-duzen/?) which suggests Arda Turan has agreed transfer terms with Manchester United from current club Atletico Madrid.

Words around the dartboard have suggested that the La Liga play-maker is set to announce his desired club by the end of the week, with [reports suggesting](https://www.turkish-football.com/arda-turan-set-to-undergo-man-utd-medical-says-ersin-duzen/?) Old Trafford as the likely destination.

It has been touted that United have come to agreements to pay his £29.2 million release clause. The Red Devils aren’t the only club to have shown an interest [as Chelsea have also been seen to be keen](https://www.turkish-football.com/arda-turan-set-to-undergo-man-utd-medical-says-ersin-duzen/?).

As it reaches closing time United have been reported to have tabled a huge salary offer with [reports](https://www.squawka.com/news/reports-turan-agrees-terms-with-man-united-deal-imminent/408249) saying a deal is now ‘imminent’.

United boss Louis van Gaal would be landing a world class play-maker and we in the Transfer Tavern would certainly love to see Turan make his way to the Prem!
