# Manchester United: Fans are raving over Fred’s latest interview

**[Manchester United midfielder Fred has revealed his “confidence is higher than at any time since I moved here” in an exclusive with FourFourTwo](https://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/man-utd-andy-mitten-column-fred-midfielder-brazilian-ole-gunnar-solskjaer) to the delight of many Red Devils. One supporter even called him a “midfield maestro.”**

The Brazilian told columnist Andy Mitten “I feel like I’m fully adapted now: to this huge club, to my team-mates, to living in England. And so are my family.”

Fred added “when I first knew that United were interested in me it was the idea of winning titles which appealed. The league position not is not where we want to be, but I feel we are getting better.”

After moving to Manchester from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk for a reported £53.1m in July 2018, the 27-year-old has featured in 63 games for the Red Devils, scoring 3 goals and creating 3 assists ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fred/profil/spieler/191614)).

Fred has put in a series of impressive shifts for club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side this season, including an eye-catching display in the dominant 5-0 victory over Club Brugge in the Europa League, where the midfielder bagged 2 goals and provided 1 assist, earning himself an exceptional statistical rating of 9.2 in the process ([SofaScore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/fred/243623)).

> Always thought Fred moves like he’s flowing through water, whereas Mctominay is more direct, Lightning. Give Fernandes the Fire and Maguire is clearly an earth bender.\
> Anyway, its the way he moves in flowing lines, he’s clearly a Brazilian. [pic.twitter.com/So3hE0F5r5](https://t.co/So3hE0F5r5)
