# Manchester United: Fans beg club to sign Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid

**Manchester United fans are begging the club to sign Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid after the Norwegian’s performance in Real Sociedad’s win over Alaves.**

A video emerged on social media showing the 20-year-old nutmegging a player, before playing a sensational pass through the Alaves defence for a goal [(via @utdxtra)](https://twitter.com/utdxtra/status/1177316079011581952).

The youngster made headlines back in the summer of 2015, when he signed for Spanish giants Real Madrid for a fee believed to be £2.3m [(via BBC)](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/30927958).

However, his time in Spain has been less than glamorous, with Odegaard making just two appearances for the first-team.

The Norway international is currently on a season-long loan at Sociedad and has already notched up two goals and one assist in just six La Liga appearances [(via Transfermarkt)](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/martin-odegaard/leistungsdaten/spieler/316264).

After the emergence of the clip, Manchester United fans took to Twitter to ask the club to sign the talented youngster after a lack of appearances in Spain.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Old Trafford faithful:
