# Manchester United: Fans believe Juan Mata’s time at Old Trafford is coming to an end

**Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is widely known as football’s [‘nice guy’](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/10/21/nine-reasons-juan-mata-is-the-nicest-guy-in-football/).**

The Spaniard – who has made over [200 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/juan-mata/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/44068) for the Red Devils, scoring 45 goals – is now approaching the back end of a glistening career.

The 31-year-old has won the [FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the Europa League](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/juan-mata/erfolge/spieler/44068) with United since joining the club from Chelsea in 2014, but he has been largely ineffective this term having [failed to score or assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/juan-mata/profil/spieler/44068) in seven appearances.

Mata has achieved an average rating of just 6.17/10 from [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/25363/History/Juan-Mata) this term. Last season, the Spain international achieved an overall rating of 6.32/10 from [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/25363/History/Juan-Mata) having registered just three goals and two assists for the 20-time English champions.

Many United fans now believe that Mata’s best days at the club are firmly behind him, as shown by these Tweets below in response to a recent video posted by [@utdxtra](https://twitter.com/utdxtra/status/1184539791511248897), which shows the midfielder taking time out of his day to take photos with fans around Manchester’s city centre.
