There was one tackle in the first-half which got many fans talking. Tottenham star Moussa Sissoko appeared to stamp on winger [Daniel James](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11675/11770410/mauricio-pochettino-sorry-for-tough-tottenham-tackles-against-manchester-united) twice, which caused a confrontation between the two sets of players.

The Red Devils won the game after goals from [Anthony Martial and youngster Angel Gomes](https://www.skysports.com/football/tottenham-vs-man-utd/406728), either side of half-time.

The win kept up Manchester United’s 100% record in pre-season so far. The Old Trafford giants have won versus [Perth Glory](https://www.theguardian.com/football/live/2019/jul/13/perth-glory-v-manchester-united-preseason-friendly-live), [Leeds United](https://www.skysports.com/football/leeds-vs-man-utd/277011), [Internazionale](https://talksport.com/football/575639/manchester-united-inter-milan-greenwood-chong-wan-bissaka/) and [Tottenham](https://www.skysports.com/football/tottenham-vs-man-utd/406728) in pre-season.

The club now travel to Norway to face manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s home town club [Kristiansund](https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/match-preview-kristiansund-v-man-united-30-july-2019) on Tuesday next week.

Fans weren’t pleased with the tackles by the Tottenham players and were doubtful over Pochettino’s apology.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Old Trafford faithful:
