# Manchester United: Fans consider deal for Paulo Dybala to be off

**Manchester United fans were less than optimistic after renowned [Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio](https://gianlucadimarzio.com/it/lukaku-inter-scambio-dybala-saltato-mandzukic-manchester-united-utd-calciomercato) revealed that a deal to swap Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku wasn’t completely off.**

Di Marzio claims that due to the difficulty surrounding a deal for Dybala, [Internazionale](https://gianlucadimarzio.com/it/lukaku-inter-scambio-dybala-saltato-mandzukic-manchester-united-utd-calciomercato) are once again in the frame to sign Lukaku, who has [previously spoken of his desire to move to Serie A](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/11703116/manchester-uniteds-romelu-lukaku-hopes-for-dream-serie-a-move).

Furthermore, [according to the BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49230085), the Old Trafford giants have all but ended talks with Dybala after concerns over a number of issues. Indeed, it is said the club were dubious over whether [Dybala](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49230085) actually wanted to play for the club and thought his wage demands were too excessive.

And given the news, fans are understandably negative over the reports from Di Marzio, all but giving up on any hope of signing the 25-year-old.

Here is a selection of tweets from some of the Old Trafford faithful following the report from Di Marzio:

> Is sarri just going to bundle him into a car and force him on a plane now then? Not sure what part of him not wanting to leave or come to United that Juventus haven’t got yet.
