# Manchester United: Fans delight at Pogba stalling on new contract

**According to a piece from the [Daily Mail via Utd Report](https://twitter.com/utdreport/status/1204532928165957633?s=21), Manchester United star Paul Pogba could be stalling on a new contract with a desire to leave – especially judging by his representatives not getting back in contact since the club opted to open negotiations over a deal.**

Pogba, who has been missing since [sustaining an ankle injury](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7780283/Manchester-Utd-boss-Ole-Gunnar-Solskjaer-hopeful-Paul-Pogba-return-end-year.html) earlier on this season, reportedly wants a move away from Manchester and on to pastures new – refusing to open talks over a new contract.

The Frenchman has been a key player for United since his return to Old Trafford in a [record deal](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37016170), particularly last season, where he amassed [13 goals and nine assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/97752/History/Paul-Pogba) from midfield as part of their brief resurgence under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Now, however, it appears Pogba has become unsettled in Manchester and could very well desire a move away – with supporters seeing the potential upside to his sale.
