# Manchester United: Fans delighted over latest Anthony Martial update

**Loads of Red Devils are delighted after [Manchester Evening News](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-transfer-news-live-17901184) revealed Anthony Martial did not feature in first-team training on Wednesday morning ahead of Manchester United’s Europa League tie against LASK.**

The French forward suffered some nasty cuts to his shins after colliding with the goalposts against Manchester City and [posted footage of his latest war wounds to his Instagram story](https://www.instagram.com/martial_9/?hl=en).

Martial opened the scoring in the commanding 2-0 victory over their local rivals at Old Trafford, registering 3 shots on target and winning 2 out of 4 aerial duels last weekend ([SofaScore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/anthony-martial/191176)).

The French international has bagged 11 goals in 23 games for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in the Premier League despite battling back from a season disrupted by injury. His market value is currently at £54m via [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/anthony-martial/profil/spieler/182877).

The Red Devils face Tottenham Hotspur away this Sunday and many United fans will be hoping a fully-fit and rested Martial can help the team to a comfortable win over former boss Jose Mourinho, hence why they are happy for him to sit out the game against LASK.
