Despite investing heavily in the summer, breaking their transfer record for a defender to bring in [star centre-back Harry Maguire](https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/harry-maguire-confirmed-as-man-utd-third-summer-signing), United have still been unable to gather momentum and challenge for a place in the top four despite seemingly having the tools in place – with the club’s general directors, the Glazers, Ed Woodward and the manager all back in the firing line. As a result, key figures across the club have continued to be at the centre of blame when it comes to United’s underachievement – with supporters demanding immediate change everywhere if they’re to progress.
