# Manchester United: Fans desperate for Anthony Martial’s return against Liverpool

**Anthony Martial hasn’t featured for Manchester United since picking up a [hamstring injury](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/anthony-martial/leistungsdaten/spieler/182877) during the defeat to Crystal Palace in September, and it’s fair to say that he’s been missed by the club.**

The Red Devils have only managed one win in their last six in the Premier League – a narrow victory over Leicester at Old Trafford – and now sit in the bottom half of the table. Indeed, they are seemingly a side bereft of any confidence ([hinted](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/10/12/harry-maguire-suggests-low-confidence-manchester-united-form/) at by Harry Maguire recently) heading into an extremely tough fixture against the division’s current leaders this weekend.

United host Liverpool this coming Sunday in a match they will be desperate to win considering their intense rivalry with the Reds. It will not be easy, though, as Jurgen Klopp’s men have [won their previous seventeen league matches](https://uk.soccerway.com/teams/england/liverpool-fc/663/matches/) and have a 100% win record to keep intact this term.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could really do with a player of Martial’s quality back in the side this weekend, with the Frenchman’s return against Liverpool expectant, as per [M.E.N](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-utd-liverpool-martial-pogba-17078487). Should this come to fruition, it will be a huge boost for the 20-time English champions.

These United fans certainly agree:

> We have missed his quality… just hope he wont be under too much pressure when he returns….
