# Manchester United: Fans don’t want to sign Mario Mandzukic

**Manchester United fans don’t want the club to sign Mario Mandzukic after the club were linked with a move for the Juventus man.**

[According to The Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1189935/Man-Utd-verbal-agreement-Mario-Mandzukic-Juventus-EXCLUSIVE-transfer-news-gossip), the Red Devils have reached an agreement with the Croatia international over a move, however, the Turin-based club are demanding the north-west club cough up £10m for the forward.

Mandzukic has been left out in the cold by manager Maurizio Sarri this season as he’s not made a single appearance in Serie A [(via Transfermarkt)](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/mario-mandzukic/leistungsdaten/spieler/34572). The lack of game time comes after the 33-year-old signed a new one-year contract towards the end of last season, keeping him at the club until 2021 [(via Total Croatia News)](https://www.total-croatia-news.com/sport/35094-mario-mandzukic).

United started the season with just [three senior attackers](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/manchester-united/kader/verein/985) after the sales of [Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez left for Internazionale](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49491677). Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been speaking in recent weeks about actively looking for a forward in the January transfer window [(via The Metro)](https://metro.co.uk/2019/10/13/ole-gunnar-solskjaer-gives-ed-woodward-six-transfer-recommendations-manchester-united-10910526/).

However, it seems fans don’t think Mandzukic is the player the club needs to sign as they took to Twitter to react.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Old Trafford faithful:

> Makes no damn sence he’s 33 …spend the Lukaku money on Zaha … PL proven goal scorer creative can play LW ST and RW will link well with AWB …and most important he’ll get fans off their seat
