# Manchester United: Fans drool over Bruno Fernandes as he wins Premier League Player of the Month award

**Manchester United star [Bruno Fernandes](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11699/12025359/bruno-fernandes-man-utd-midfielder-named-premier-league-player-of-the-month-for-june) has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for June.**

After arriving at Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon in January, [Fernandes](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11699/12025359/bruno-fernandes-man-utd-midfielder-named-premier-league-player-of-the-month-for-june) has arguably been their best player by a country mile, although the premature end to the season briefly put a stop to proceedings.

He set the tone almost immediately after scoring the penalty that secured a hard-fought draw at [Tottenham Hotspur](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51787532), which was Man United’s first game back since the Premier League restart.

[The Portuguese](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bruno-fernandes/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/240306/plus/0?saison=2019&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) scored three goals in as many games in June, including a brace against Brighton, and he has been involved in more goals than any other player since the beginning of [February](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11699/12025359/bruno-fernandes-man-utd-midfielder-named-premier-league-player-of-the-month-for-june). On the back of these statistics, it is hardly surprising he has picked up [another award](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league/manchester-united/manchester-united-fans-react-as-bruno-fernandes-wins-ea-sports-fifa-player-of-the-month-award/).

Fernandes has formed a formidable partnership with Paul Pogba, and the Red Devils duo inspired [Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53283296) to victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park, with both midfielders bagging a goal a-piece.

Unsurprisingly, lots of United fans drooled over the “wonderful” news on social media, with one fan tweeting he is “unstoppable” in light of his [recent form](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11699/12025359/bruno-fernandes-man-utd-midfielder-named-premier-league-player-of-the-month-for-june), while another added it is “too easy” for him.
