# Manchester United: Fans excited by Mason Greenwood’s “great future” at Old Trafford

**Manchester United’s lack of squad depth and quality over the past five seasons have allowed the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard and now Mason Greenwood a clearer path to the first team. Indeed, Greenwood is one player in particular who’s exciting United fans across the world.**

Despite [playing just 114 minutes](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/367782/Show/Mason-Greenwood), in the Premier League this season, he’s started [three Europa League games](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/367782/Show/Mason-Greenwood) and he’s [scored twice and assisted once](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjvg_afm-rlAhUzoVwKHfq3BagQFjAAegQIARAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.transfermarkt.co.uk%2Fmason-greenwood%2Fprofil%2Fspieler%2F532826&usg=AOvVaw2TOiAakT0aEmhG8DM-s4sJ) in that time. Furthermore, he’s had an impressive [88.8% pass completion rate](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/367782/Show/Mason-Greenwood), and [Who Scored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/367782/Show/Mason-Greenwood) have rated the 18-year-old an average of 7.4/10 for his performances.

He proved his confidence against FK Partizan last Thursday, pulling off a great bit of skill right in front of manager and club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. United’s official Twitter account posted a clip of the skill and fans were quick to show just how impressed they are by their next young talent to break through the academy.
