# Manchester United: Fans far from convinced as Italian journalist claims Harry Maguire deal is done

**It seems Manchester United fans are taking every little transfer rumour on Twitter with a pinch of salt. However, after Italian journalist [Alfredo Pedulla](https://twitter.com/AlfredoPedulla/status/1155936151401709568) tweeted out the Harry Maguire deal was ‘done’, it seems the Old Trafford faithful are far from convinced.**

Maguire has been a transfer target for the Old Trafford giants since last summer, where he formed part of the targets the board refused to buy under [former manager Jose Mourinho](https://metro.co.uk/2018/11/01/manchester-united-board-ready-to-veto-jose-mourinhos-transfer-targets-for-second-window-running-8096562/).

Talks have stalled this summer, with the [England international](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/9612008/man-utd-harry-maguire-leicester/) said to be furious with his club Leicester City over the lack of movement for his ‘dream’ move to the north-west club.

[According to Fabrizio Romano](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1156009670324043777), Manchester United remain locked in talks with Leicester City for Maguire.

Here is a selection of tweets from fans following the tweet by Pedulla claiming a deal is ‘done’:
