# Manchester United: Fans fume as Dortmund hand Red Devils a deadline for Jadon Sancho

**Borussia Dortmund have told Manchester United they have to sort out a deal for Jadon Sancho by August 10 if they wish to sign him in the summer.**

Recent reports have suggested [Man United](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/12018033/jadon-sancho-manchester-united-will-not-pay-more-than-50m-for-england-winger) will not pay more than £50m for Sancho.

The two clubs are still poles apart on their valuations as [Dortmund](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/12018033/jadon-sancho-manchester-united-will-not-pay-more-than-50m-for-england-winger) are demanding at least £100m for the winger.

[United’s stance on Sancho](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/manchester-united-transfer-news-jadon-sancho-priority-despite-mason-greenwood-a4489481.html) has not changed despite Mason Greenwood’s emergence.

According to [Bild](https://www.bild.de/bild-plus/sport/fussball/fussball/bvb-so-viel-abloese-fordert-dortmund-fuer-jadon-sancho-71729186,view=conversionToLogin.bild.html), as per [@utdreport](https://twitter.com/utdreport/status/1280395503671414784), Dortmund see no reason to sell him for a cut price, and have now set a deadline for a deal to be completed.

[The Bundesliga challengers](https://www.bild.de/bild-plus/sport/fussball/fussball/bvb-so-viel-abloese-fordert-dortmund-fuer-jadon-sancho-71729186,view=conversionToLogin.bild.html) start their pre-season training camp in Switzerland at the beginning of August and they want to find a resolution by then.

[Sancho](https://www.bild.de/bild-plus/sport/fussball/fussball/bvb-so-viel-abloese-fordert-dortmund-fuer-jadon-sancho-71729186,view=conversionToLogin.bild.html) is still sceptical over whether or not a move to Old Trafford would be the right decision in the next step for his career.

Although he is open to a move, he is willing to wait and see if the Red Devils will reach the Champions League before he signs a contract.

Unsurprisingly, loads of United fans blasted “the German Spurs” as the news emerged, with one supporter lamenting there is “no way” Ed Woodward gets a deal over the line in time, while another added Sancho is “overpriced.” This is perhaps rather unfair as he is [the club’s top scorer](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/borussia-dortmund/top-scorers) this season.
