# Manchester United: Fans hail Antonio Conte’s reported interest in Nemanja Matic

**According to a report from the [Daily Telegraph via United Xtra](https://twitter.com/utdxtra/status/1206642066324951040?s=20), Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic is on Inter Milan’s radar as they try to strengthen amid a [neck in neck](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/italian-serie-a/table) Serie A title race with Juventus.**

Inter are currently locked on [39 points](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/italian-serie-a/table) at the top of the league with the Old Lady, with both sides having won 12, drawn three and lost one this season – providing potentially the best Italian title race in years.

If the rumours are to be believed, the San Siro outfit are looking to bring in United midfielder Matic in a bid to add more steel to their midfield – with manager Antonio Conte having already signed Red Devils[outcast Romelu Lukaku in the summer](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49146040) to devastating effect.

Now, with whispers pointing to Conte making a swoop for Matic, supporters are grateful to the Italian for trying to take the Serbian off their hands.

Here’s what they had to say on Twitter.

> Excellent.
