# Manchester United: Fans hail Bruno Fernandes’ sensational start to Premier League life

**A whole host of Manchester United fans have been singing the praises of Bruno Fernandes on social media after the star signing scored a stunning screamer to rescue the game against Everton on Sunday.**

The 25-year-old blasted in a long-range shot to equalise for the Red Devils in a game dominated by goal-keeping errors (per [Evening Standard](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/everton-manchester-united-score-result-live-a4375321.html)). Everton thought they had managed to snatch a last-minute winner but this was ruled out by another controversial VAR decision.

Fernandes is already a major influence at Manchester United after joining the club from Sporting Lisbon for £47m during the January transfer window ([BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51292312)). The midfielder has made 4 appearances in the Premier League so far, scoring 2 goals and creating 2 assists according to data provided by [WhoScored.com](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/123761/Show/Bruno-Fernandes). Fernandes currently holds a high overall rating of 7.8 via [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/123761/Show/Bruno-Fernandes).

Many United fans will be hoping that the Portuguese international can keep this form up for the rest of the season.
