# Manchester United: Plenty of fans hate latest transfer link with Krzysztof Piatek

**Manchester United have lost Marcus Rashford to injury and they still haven’t replaced Romelu Lukaku after his departure in the summer. However, it seems their fans have set the bar very high for who they want to bring in, with linked Krzysztof Piatek not deemed good enough by many.**

[The Athletic](https://theathletic.co.uk/team/manchester-united/) have reported that United are going after the Milan forward, who hasn’t had the best of seasons at the San Siro. He’s scored just [four goals from 18 appearances](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/339504/Show/Krzysztof-Piatek) this term despite netting [13 in 19](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/339504/History/Krzysztof-Piatek) last season for Genoa. [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/339504/History/Krzysztof-Piatek) rated him 7.2/10 last season and just 6.5/10 this term.

The report says that the Red Devils are in a battle with Spurs for the 24-year-old. However, when Man United news aggregator[@utdreport](https://twitter.com/utdreport) on Twitter asked fans if they’d take Piatek, many responded negatively. It seems plenty of fans just don’t think he’s the quality United need.
