# Manchester United: Fans in disbelief after David de Gea suffers injury

**Manchester United fans are in disbelief after goalkeeper David de Gea suffered a muscle injury in Spain’s 1-1 draw against Sweden last night with the player now a doubt for Sunday according to the [BBC](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50064128).**

The ‘keeper went off in the 60th minute after suffering what appeared to be a hamstring injury and is a doubt for the clash at home to table-toppers Liverpool.

De Gea is one of a number of players doubtful for the game against Jurgen Klopp’s men. Although [The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/how-man-utd-could-line-20582503) suggests Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka ‘look likely to play’, they could still be doubtful for the game as nothing has been confirmed by the club.

The north-west club is in a terrible run of form in the Premier League this season, having won just one of their last seven games in the top-flight [(via WhoScored)](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/32/Fixtures/England-Manchester-United).

It seems the news surrounding the United ‘keeper has dampened the mood for fans as they took to Twitter to bemoan his injury.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Old Trafford faithful:

> It’s actually a joke the number of muscular injuries that we’ve had this season already. There’s something seriously wrong.
