# Manchester United: Fans laud Anthony Martial after his performance against Brighton and Hove Albion

**Manchester United fans were lauding Anthony Martial after his performance in the 3-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday.**

The Frenchman proved an instrumental figure for the Old Trafford giants as he notched up two assists [(via Transfermarkt)](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/anthony-martial/leistungsdaten/spieler/182877/plus/0?saison=2019). However, his impact was much bigger than just goals, with Martial playing the [most key passes and completing the fourth-most dribbles](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1376003/LiveStatistics/England-Premier-League-2019-2020-Manchester-United-Brighton) for his side.

During his long lay off with a hamstring injury, the north-west club endured a horrible run of form that saw them win just two of their eight games in all competitions. That is in stark contrast to the club’s form since he has returned, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side losing just one of their seven games [(via WhoScored)](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/32/Fixtures/England-Manchester-United).

Fans seemed to be excited by his performance in the club’s win as they took to Twitter to lavish him with praise.

Here is a selection of tweets from the Old Trafford faithful:

> Martial doing what Pereira and Lingard should be doing better than them. Holding the ball and bringing other forwards into play. Sometimes I wish Pogba plays the number 10 role in this 4231 system and we see how it goes
