# Manchester United: Many fans are loving the add-ons in Bruno Fernandes transfer

**Manchester United have finally got their man in Bruno Fernandes, and they’ve shelled out an initial [£49.6 million](https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/revealed-the-add-ons-that-could-take-bruno-fernandes-fee-to-67-7m-hjsb3qpdk) for him. The player was announced by Man United on Thursday afternoon and since then details of the add-ons involved with the deal have been emerging.**

[The Times](https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/revealed-the-add-ons-that-could-take-bruno-fernandes-fee-to-67-7m-hjsb3qpdk) have reported that Sporting Lisbon will receive €1 million (roughly £850,000) for every five starts the Portuguese creative midfielder makes until he reaches 25 starts, and they’ll also receive €5 million (roughly £4.2 million) if United qualify for the Champions League once in the next five seasons.

There’s another add-on too, and it’s that every time Fernandes wins the PFA Player of the Year or finishes in the top three of the Ballon d’Or, United will have to pay Sporting €5 million, and this is capped at three times. Many fans reacted with joy when they saw a tweet from United news aggregator [Utd Report](https://twitter.com/utdreport) explaining the clause regarding his personal awards.
