# Manchester United: Fans react as Alex Telles fit to face Aston Villa

**Plenty of Manchester United fans have been reacting to an injury update on Alex Telles ahead of their game versus Aston Villa in the Premier League.**

Speaking to the media in his press conference before the game, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that the former FC Porto ace is [“fine”](https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/team-news-for-man-united-v-aston-villa-new-years-day-2021?t=y&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=post&utm_campaign=appandweb&utm_content=oleteamnews20201231#) despite being the subject of a quite heavy challenge in midweek and as a consequence, being replaced at half time by Luke Shaw.

The update has stirred up a mass debate as to who should start against Dean Smith’s team at left-back, with some Red Devils happier than others to see that the Brazil international is fit enough to play in the match if and when needed.

The 28-year-old has averaged more interceptions, clearances, shots, passes, crosses, long balls and through balls per appearance than Shaw so far in the top flight in the 2020/21 term, although the England international has averaged more tackles, blocks, key passes and dribbles ([Whoscored](https://www.whoscored.com/PlayerComparison)).
