# Manchester United: Fans react as club are interested in Dayot Upamecano

**The transfer speculation is heating up, and Manchester United will be wanting to improve their squad. A lot of the United fan base are reacting to the latest news which suggests they are keen on centre-back Dayot Upamecano.**

According to [ESPN,](https://www.espn.co.uk/) via [utdreport](https://twitter.com/utdreport/status/1300367812058386433?s=20), Upamecano has a release clause of around €42 million (£37.6 million) which can be triggered at the end of the 2020/21 season. However, United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær wants to recruit the player in this window. Sources have said that they believe a deal between the Red Devils and RB Leipzig could be struck this summer, with his current value at [£40.5m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dayot-upamecano/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/344695/plus/0?saison=2019&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=CL&pos=&trainer_id=).
