# Manchester United: Fans react to Boubacar Kamara update

**Manchester United have seemingly leapfrogged Aston Villa in the race to sign Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara.**

That’s according to Italian news outlet [Gazzetta dello Sport](https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Serie-A/Roma/25-01-2022/mercato-roma-diawara-puo-partire-attesa-kamara-occhio-nandez-4301089879254.shtml?cmpid=shortener_b0cb84ebfi), and, as to be expected, a number of United fans have been reacting to the update on social media.

Kamara appears to be a player in demand, with the holding midfielder’s contract set to expire at the [end of the season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/boubacar-kamara/profil/spieler/394327).

The 22-year-old is on Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa [wishlist](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/aston-villa-transfer-rumours/boubacar-kamara-villa-transfer-target/), with United, Villa and Leeds all [talking](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10432731/Newcastle-eyeing-potential-January-transfer-window-Dele-Alli-Jesse-Lingard.html) to the player’s agent ahead of a possible £10m transfer.
