# Manchester United: Fans react to Brendan Rodgers links

**Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has admirers from Manchester United, according to [The Daily Mail’s Jack Gaughan](https://twitter.com/Jack_Gaughan).**

And, as to be expected, plenty of United fans have been giving their thoughts on social media.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears to be [safe](https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/ole-gunnar-solskjaer-man-utd-25299572) for now after a 5-0 humiliation to arch-rivals Liverpool on the weekend, even though Antonio Conte is [reportedly](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/oct/25/antonio-conte-keen-on-manchester-united-job-as-players-doubt-solskjaer-capability-tactics) open to taking over at Old Trafford.

Ajax boss Erik Ten Hag has also been [linked](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1511196/Man-Utd-next-manager-Erik-ten-Hag-Newcastle-job-Ajax-statement-Premier-League-news), and according to Gaughan, writing for [The Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10133965/Manchester-United-Ole-Gunnar-Solskjaer-stay-execution-board-review-position.html) and shared on social media by [@utdreport](https://twitter.com/utdreport/status/1453117811174383616), Ten Hag and Rodgers have admirers from United.

Rodgers recently came out on top against Solskjaer, with his Foxes side running out [4-2](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58833898) winners over the Red Devils in the Premier League.

He averages [1.79](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/brendan-rodgers/profil/trainer/1366) points per game at the King Power, just shy of Solskjaer’s [1.81](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ole-gunnar-solskjaer/profil/trainer/7286) points per game in Manchester. The Northern Irishman has also won [nine](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/brendan-rodgers/erfolge/trainer/1366) honours as a boss, however, the links have divided a number of supporters.
